Today in raajarajeswaram thanjavore, the marriage between lord peruvudaiyar and goddess periyanayagi is being celebrated. Our SPS will visit and pray for all of us.
In rajaraja's times godess periyanayagi did not have a separate shrine. But this concept of celebrating the divine marriages seems to have been conducted. we see inscriptions in which individuals donate shree dhanam to goddess considering her as their daughter. I even wrote a story in kalvettu kadaigal on this.
