Dear all have been reading Kadal pura for god knows how manyth time... there's a bit which created a bit of curiosity I hope one of you can answer question
''kalaiththakkor pugazh thalaithak kolamum thithamavalvinai madhamalingamum kalamudhirak kadunthiral (e)lamuri desamum thennakka varpozhil manakkavaramum thodukadal kaval kadumurat kadaramum....'' rjc meikeerthi in big temple south face second pattai kalvettu
Sandilyan claims this is RJC's Kadaram campaign and the countries he winned over and this is found in the Kalvettu on the south face of big temple in thanjavur
this has raised two questins in my mind.. 1.what was the time frame between his gangai campaign and kadaram....if kadaram followed ganagai then why not print these in GKC? have anyone of you seen this in thanjavur sps, kamal?
2.The highlighted Lamuri desam what exactly was this ...we have had debates and discissions about Lemuria...does this have anything to do with that
I know thalaithakkolam was burma manakkavaram was nicobar kadaram is kedah of malayasia
After the ganga expedition during 1021 to 1023 by 1025 rjc started kedaram expedition using of kalingan sailor from palur port and manikapatna port which is near from puri.
As u know kalingam sailors are well versed with that route since 6 th century of sailobodeva contemporary of pallavas.
from palur port u can see the mahindra giri which 35 km from there.
There is a inscription by rjc on war with of vimaladitya.
if will analysis of perisan and arab records we can get more on this .
yesterday during our Historical Links research foundation innaugaration ,Christober Hill prof of history from us mentioned that there is a lot of records in UK Musueam and universities of UK about india particularly maritime activites ,trade and kingdom.
he assured me to get more information on cholas from us and uk.
Dear all I guess I have to wait till my next trip to India to find out if this meikeerthi is in Thanjavur and wonder why RjC did it in thnajavur rather than GKC
