The national library of singapore is having a small exhibition to go along with the kaachakra events in singapore. was much pleased to see that starting cut out ......HAIL PROSPERITY. i was asking the other visitors if they know what this meant ( namballuku theriumnu oru bantha than)....Swastir sree....and the next exhibit turned out to be the actual prasithi of rajendra .....Tiruvalangadu plates( copy) - his kadaram conquests... Sangama Vijayottungavarman, the king of Kataha, belonging to the Sailendras of Java. The list of 13 towns in the archipelago sacked by the Cholas has come from Rajendra's own inscriptions. Scholars have identified all but two of them. Six are located on the Malay peninsula, four on Sumatra, the other being the Nicobar islands
the next was an even more interesting plate - the puttir plates - whihc talk of the gift of a chariot by the cambodian king ( one which he had vanquished many armies with)...as a gift to appease rajendra seek his hand in support ( + as per some scholars to keep him from launching on cambodia after his destruction of sri vijaya - in essence a tribute)
there was a cut out of the mahab shore temple and couple of other pictures.
there were copies of tamil insciptions found in thailand, indonesia, china etc...showing the tamil influence in south east asia
