DHWAITHAM & OTHERS
  • Dear Satish,

    The Philosophical example is ::

    During darkness, a rope is looked at as a snake. That is Maaya. It
    is not snake, but rope. Likewise Jeevathma (soul) & Paramathama
    (Omnipotent) are same, even tho" Jeevathma thinks it is different
    from Paramathma. God is within one's self.. not outside.
    Aham Brahmasmihi !

    Since this preaches of NOT-DUAL, it is known as A-Dhwaitham (2).
    Adhi Sankara pointed this out.

    Kanchi Acharyas used to conclude their speech with : NARAYANA
    SMRITHI.

    We see a pearl haram .. Muthumalai.

    We see only the pearls outwardly .. Not the thread that passes
    through all the pearls.

    The Peals are Jeevathma..
    The thread is Paramathma.
    They are different entities.

    Jeevathma has to reach paramathma by Saadhanas.

    This is what is known as DHWAITHAM (2).

    In the aforesaid instance, the thread is IDENTIFIED as VISHNU,
    meaning that Paramathma is Vishnu.

    This is Vashistathwaitham.

    Here it is pertinent to recall Bhagawan Shri Ramakrishna
    Paramahamsa / Jesus Christ ::

    Paramahamsa put in simple words : All the roads are leading to
    Calcutta.

    Jesus :: All the roads are leading to Rome.
