freinds, last week i went to thiru-avadu thurai to witness the sambandar portkizhi receiving ceremony at the gomuktheeswarar shrine.
it is celebarated when sambandar also discovered the copies of thiru- manthiram hidden beneath the pali-peedam. this happened in 650AD. the avadu-thurai adheenam was estabilished only in 1350 AD.
so the thirumanthiram was hidden there prior to the adheenams. but why they were hidden there? for the fear of kalabrahs? adheenam library has no answers nor do the junior pontiffs!
