Dear Gokul, In the Thalichery kalvettu, there are mentions of : Thanjavur Brahma Kuttam. About 15 years back, Dr.Nagaswamy found a rare inscription of :THANDIVARMA PALLAVAN..!! Stunning ?! There is also a "Simma" Pillar of Pallavas! Theory is : Thanjai was also ruled by Thandhivarman from 795 to 850. His son Third Nandhivarman was also known as "Kaviri Valanadan" who ruled Kizhar Kootrathu NANDHIPURAM - 3 kms away from Thiruvaiyaru near Kandiyur.
Thanjavur Brahma Kuttam was a temple built by Pallavas, co-exited with Rajarajeswaram and worshipped by Rajaraja and Kundavai also. These temples were ruined during Mallikapur invasion and resurrected in the 16th Century by Pachiappa naicker.
Thalikkulathar temple existed else where - not near RRswm.
