Vada Madurai is a small village - 3 kms before the famous Periyapalayam temple. You can reach the place either via Redhills or Thirunundravur. Both the roads to Periyapalayam join at vengal. You need to go further 5 kms on the road to Periyapalayam.
You will reach this village and a modern looking temple.
This temple existed prior to Rajendra Chola or Constructed during his period. The temple is dedicated to Adikesava Perumal. This temple has 2 of Rajendra's epigraphs.
One built in to the ardhamandapa which has his meikeerthi and another one recorded as a slab in the roof which was thrown away during reconstruction. That is our subject this week.
Like the senthan kari who adopted Godess Uma and married her to Lord Siva in Vayalur,

Requested the Gurukkal to keep the epigraph in a safe place and protect it.
Request Volunteers who can read that again ( since ASI had published only the summary and not the entire epigraph) and for making some arrangements to fix it for display.
This temple also has Nayak period Ramayana panels on the ceiling of Kalyana mandapa. Some lion pillar bases are strewn around.
