the Big temple is CONCEPT OF MERU...
enough is written in our group several occasions earlier.
RRC brought Meru - to the Southern part and thus Dakshina Meru !!
Where there is Meru with Yaksha - Kinnara - Kimpurushas - several rivers - the question of Bramahathi etc., are gone..
Likewise the widely speculated black-lepor theory also.
These are spinnings of some Western "amaeturists "..
Recall Dr. Sridhar's mails 7 - 8 years back.. even in UNESCO web-sites such nonsense were figuring and we have been writing to various authorities frequently to change such wrong details.
The last of the trio was Sundarar - 8 th Century.
RRC / RjC were sincere enough to get their Brahadeswara temples hymned by Karuvur Thevar to get compiled into Thiruvisappa and thus attained "sanctity" in 12 Thirumurais !!
