Under the auspicious of G O D India trust - blessed by Sri Sri Muralidhar Guruji - at Naradha Gana Saba - ydy evening - Dr. Kudavoil Balu sir rendered a nice lecture on Rasamana Kalvettu Cheydhigal.
Some salient details :
1. Manimangalam - where Sri Muralidhar Gururji has his ashram - Pandurangam temple and installed the tall Anganeyar (which was NOT permitted to be installed at Kanyakumari - a few years back !!) - is known as VANN DWARAGAI - wherein Certain Sects got settled from Dwarakapuri - with the help of Agarsthiyar. 2. The Rajagopalaswamy Vinnagaram - is of Pallava origin.
3. Theiruvellarai inscription : that Sundara Pandya destroyed every pillar of political importance but left the 16 Kaal mandapam - installed by Karikalan where he granted lavishly to Kadiyalur Uruthirankannanar for having sung Pattinappalai !!
4. Thiru vellarai where a Well was put in Grant for public purpose
5. A 1924 inscription by a person - who begged and accumulated about 400 Rs and created 3 wells for public purpose - near Thirumalingucholai - Kallanai.
6. 16th Century Srirangam inscription where one Vellaiyammal commits suicide to protect the temple assets and the fire / clothes / flowers for last rites for that community goes from Ranga temple till date !!
