What does "Sugodhaya Sundari" mean here? In the book I have (ku.pa.annamalai) its said a comfortable beautiful lady. Probably Thailand is called Sugodhaya because life is comfortable there(in those period). any further thoughts?
Kamal,
During the trip we were discussing about Narasimha's Kudaivarai and you mentioned a place where it is present. I was telling you that Dr.KKvn has mentioned that Tirukazhukundram Kudaivarai is of Narasimha and searched for its page in the book.
I got it now. In Pen deiva vazhipadu, page 36 Dr.kkvn says that Tirukazhukkundram is the only Narasimha kudaivarai with inscription. Just thought of sharing the information with you.
Banumandala Madhyasta, is a name of Goddess Shakti from Lalitha Sahasranama. Banumandalam is Suryamandalam. So, Sukodhaya Sundari, may mean, Goddess Lalitha. Why Lalitha, is her dhyanaslokam starts with 'Arunaam karunatharangi dhaaksheem..'. Arunam is colour of dawn. Kaalai ilamkathir.
Surprisingly 'Thiripurai yaamanai komalame..' comes in Abirami Andhathi too.
