I made a quick dash to mumbai last week before finally ( rather sadly) returning to sin. took the jet airways and a chance glance on the jet magazine - and loo behold .. amazing how chola trivia keeps jumping in front of you) - the magazine has a interesting article on kutralam - Arulmigu Thirukkutralanathar temple/said to be constructed in the 7th century A.D. /inscriptions of Chola and Pandya dynasties.etc. the article has some sublime pictures of shiva lingam and nandhi's carved into the rock face...pity the last time i visited kutralam ( 10 years ago) - i just had some fun and frolick under the falls without realising the historic impact of the place..
