CHENNAI: Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Chennai Circle, will undertake major conservation works in Group of Monuments in Mamallapuram, great living Chola temples Darasuram and Thanjavur, Forts at Tirumayam, Vellore, Gingee and Thanjavur, Clive building at Chennai, temples at Sircarperiyapalayam, Brahmadesam, Srimushnam, Sendamangalam, Thirumukkudal and Ammankurichi and rock cut caves at Narthamalai and Vialapakkam.
According to an official release ASI would spend Rs 4.5 crore on conservation works. Special Correspondent
