talking about the much recent history (16/17 century is much recent than the chola period we often talk about :) )...
I remember an inscription in Tiruvanmayur Marundeeswarar koil...just at the entrace, which talks about the grants to the temple. I think it was from 1905 or so year...The grants are really huge. I dont remember the area covered...
Can you/venkat/vijay or someone highlight the more recent inscriptions from any temple in TN?

the kalvettu is on amman temple entrance in thiruvanmiyur
it was a huge plot on ttk road earlier mowbarys road by a couple. must be worth 10 crores now. cant find the place though. mentuioned that till surya santhirar are there it shall belong to the temple.....
