How did i miss this. We had earlier seen the amazing dancing from of shiva as natraja in Tanjore Big temple, and then on our focus on Karaikkal ammai we saw her fantastic depiction in Gangai konda cholapuram. But i missed the panel in Tanjore Nataraja - which too had a beautiful sculpture of [...]
http://www.poetryinstone.in/lang/ta/2008/10/24/karaikkal-ammai-in-tanjore-nataraja-panel-too.html நாம் முன்னர் தஞ்சை பெரிய கோவில் ஆடல் வல்லானின் அற்புத ஆட்டத்தை பார்த்த பொது அங்கும் பேய் அம்மையின் அழகிய சிற்பத்தை கவனிக்க மறந்து விட்டேன். நாம் கங்கை கொண்ட சோழ புறத்தில் பார்த்து போலவே இங்கும் பேய் அம்மை ஆரவாரத்துடன் ஆட்டத்தை பார்கிறார்கள். இடம் தான் சற்று மாறி உள்ளது. நந்தி அதே இடத்தில் ஆச்சு வார்த்தாற்போல உள்ளார். (நடராஜரின் ஆட்டத்துக்கு நந்தி தான் தாளங்கள் போட்டு மேளம் வாசிப்பார் என்று ஐதீகம். ஆகவே நடராஜரின் ஆட்டம் நந்தியின் பக்கவாத்தியம் இல்லாமல் நிறைபெறாது)
