இன்றும் ஒரு சுவாரசியமான கதையோடு தொடர்புடைய சிற்பத்தை காண்போம் – மகாபலிபுரம் சென்று வந்த யாரும் இந்த சிற்பத்தை பார்க்காமல் திரும்பும் வாய்ப்பு குறைவு அதேபோல் இதன் பின்னனி கதையை அறிந்து ரசிக்கும் வாய்ப்பும் குறைவு. மகிஷாசுரமர்தினி மண்டபத்திலுள்ள அனந்தசயனின் சிற்பத்தை கண்டுகளிப்போம். ஊழிக்கால விஷ்ணுவின் மறத்தை பறை சாற்றும் கதையிது.
சற்றே வழக்கத்திற்கு மாறாக, முதலில் அனேகமானோர் அறியாத சிற்பத்தை பார்ப்போம் பிறகு கதைக்குச் செல்வோம்.
