I think it is best to leave PS Pazhuvettaraiyars safely - we will have lot of difficulties fitting them into the historic pazhuvettaraiyar chronology.
we need to refer "Pazhuvoor Pudhaiyalgal" by Dr.R.Kalaikkovan before speculating further. The last few pages of the book give a detailed chronology along with years. Unfortunately I don't have the book with me right now:-(((
In the book, I vaguely remember names like Kumaran Maravan, Maravan Kandan etc - all taken from names mentioned in epigraphs found at Avani gandarpa easwaram temple at pazhuvoors.
The person you are talking about from udaiyargudi seems to be a mutharaiyar chief as evident from title "sozha mutharaiyan".Pazhuvetaraiyars bore the title "Pazhuvetaraiyan kandan maravan" etc etc.
He might have just lived in Mela pazhuvor that's all.
