15th century sculptor?s scale found
  • Dear Vijay,

Thank you so much for posting this.

spoke to Dr. Kalaikkovan. He added two more points ::

Dr. Nalini has actully noticed this first and brought to his
    attention.

And this data is not highlighted in the research book published on
    Azhagarkoil.
  • Do we have any simlilar scale found in thanjai big temple?

In the case of sculpture, there were many measurements like nel, umi, nool,
angulam, etc. With only two plus marks at a distance of 76 cm indicates
what? How it could had been utilised? Any idea?

We have discussed about ulagalandhan kol from inscriptions, but that kol is
used for measuring lands. For measuring gold and silver there was a measure
called "adal vallan", kazhancu, manjadi etc.

Howdy, Stranger!
