Even though on the 84th birthday of Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi, he blessed 84 couples by gifting Mangalsutras while conducting 84 marriages, in a recent programme Vijay TV has brought out issues against Mangalsutra. Means Rationalism has been respecting the Culture of our Land.
Actress Kushboo was forced to apologise on the pretext that she had insulted Tamil women and demeaned Tamil culture - on a particular issue - but surprisingly this Media subject- that MANGAL SUTRA is not so essential in Hindu marraiges - escaped attention though it is related not only to Tamil culture but also to Hindu culture as a whole.
Hindus expect Vijay TV and Mercury Creations to render a public apology, failing which legal course of action contemplated against such probagation.
Chennai based advocate R Subramaniam sent a legal notice to Vijay TV-CEO Mr. Sriram (Respondent-1), Mercury Creations-CEO Mr. Antony (Respondent-2) and Vijay TV Anchor Gopinath (Respondent-3) with copies to the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu and Commissioner of Police, Chennai City.
He condemned the first three respondents and demanded a public apology before telecasting the next episode of the programme, failing which he requested both the DGP and CoP to take immediate action against them.
The offence committed by Vijay TV and Mercury Creations is violative of Sections 153(a), 153(b) and 295(a) of the Indian Penal Code and they deserve punishment in accordance with those sections it is stated in the notice.
Often it is used to be asked :: What purpose does it serve in talking of the past.
We should always remember of our Glorious Past. And we should not lose sight of this in the Present. We should protect, preserve and pass on the residuals of our Glourious Past to our Future Generation !!

it was she who fixed 2 guests of honour for participation. kalki's grand daughter gowri ramnarayan as well as artist padmavasan.
she personally spoke to both of them. padmavasan a man of few words would certainly not agreed to attend but for her intervention
