Here's a gist for those who have troubles reading the doc :
- Group was formed in 2002. Roughly 20 and odd members in the beginning months.
- Indepth discussions on various characters of ponniyin selvan. A series titled "Ponniyin selvan - Facts and fiction" was written. Available in files section.
- Decided to visit the historic places featured in Ponniyin selvan (PS) in Feb 2003 - Got the introduction of writer Balakumaran and Mr.Sundar Bharatwaj (who is now a very active member of the group)
- This "Muthal Yathirai" was featured in Kalki magazine and Indian Express. The travellogue is available in files section.
- A TV interview about this trip was featured in Sun TV. Around 250 members by now.
- An interview was featured in Singapore tamil radio Oli 96.8
- Started interacting with famous historians of Tamilnadu like Dr.R.Kalaikkovan, Dr.Ira.Nagasamy, Thiru.Kudavoil Balasubramanyam, Dr.Rajavelu, Mr.Devamani Raphel and many others.
- Group contributed for bringing Ponniyin selvan online via project madurai (free download)
- The group went for "Irandam Yathirai" covering other palces of historic importance in pudukkottai. The travellogue is available in files section.
- Group is actively involving with Dr.R.Kalaikkovan and his Rajamanickanar Institute of Historic Research activities whenever possible.
- Many other travellogues covering various places of historic importance and visits with Dr.Kalaikkovan are available in Files section.
- A historic novel is currently being featured in the group as a serial. Hopefully many other novels by different members should follow...

Sorry if I have missed something important - this is what I could remember :-)
Lakshmi Narayanan is the befitting 400th member in our PS Group - which story is about the Emperor - who was born with the Sangu - Chakram impressions in his hand (Narayan) and Laxmi in his heart - as hailed in the famous Thiruvalangadu copper plates.
It is also the time to thank our Ram - Dr. Sridhar - Dr. Jaybee - Kamal - Lavanya -Pavithra - Gokul and other Senior memebers - who are carrying on the activities fervently to enable the Group reach the 400 mark...and move forward ...
Welcome Note by Gokul will be very much helpful to the new comers..
Gokul's Rajakesari has touched Rajraja mazhavarayan and Emperor Rajaraja himself .. think we are in for another feast on the Emperor's life..

Once again we take this occasion to pay our tributes to Amarar Kalki who had such a great vision in writing such great epics like PS & SS - reading of which keep us more united emotionally..cutting across regional & linguistic barriers ..
