Saturday morning dot 6 am, RjC & Natarajan greeted us at TTD, T
Nagar -Satish + mother, Venkatesh, Lavanya, Swetha, Uama (who flew
from Bombay for this trip exclusively and enjoyed), her
brotherChandrasekar. Ksrjn, (Rajni) Ramki & KrupaKamal at Guindy.
Ramnath Pallavaram. Kamal & Ram joined at Thambaram.

Uma hails from Kaviyogi Suddhanandha family. Quiet and observing.
"Mangal" Ganesan - who has seen about 230 Paadal petra sthalangal
was also quietly observing.

Venkatesh came well prepared on each place of interest and was kind
enough to enlighten the group. Breakfast at Brindavanam.

After Tindivanam, stopped at Ennayiram - saw the mile stone
marked "Kavi Kalamegam" birth place. Panruti Cashews; Vadalur soft
drinks. Sethiathope check post.

Venkatesh spoke of Thirumumaippadi naadu. Immediate South road takes
us to Veeranam East Bank, but would have taken about 30 minutes to
reach and another 30 to come back. So proceeded to Pappakudi and the
way took a 100 meter deviation and saw the Western Bank of Veeranam.
The famous description of 72 "Kanavays" (matching Sri Ramnujar's
mutts) are on the Eastern side. Water was more on the Eastern side.
Proceeded to GKC around 1315. Grand view. Stunning. Photographed.
Rushed back to vehicle and landed at Tiruvalanchuzhi Hotel Paradise.
Friendly environment. However rushed lunch and bypassed Swetha's
Palacial Mansion half-a-KM away on the Main road itself!

We were greeted by Rain God - Blessings - while entering Thanjavur
and rushed to Big temple dumping luggages in Temple Towers where
Suganya & co, Kamal's relaitves already waiting.

We performed Archanai to peruvudayar - lit a Nondha Vilakku for
Karthikeyan and were amazed by the marvel of the temple!

A good knowledgeable crowd comprised of about 35 members saw the
Upper level of temple - one block - under the Vimanam & dancing
Karnas and the Paintings in the Meznanine level with Easanam,
Thatpurusham, Sathjojatham, Vamadevam & Agoram. There were also combo
dieties as Lakshmi / Saraswathi, Sandhya Nirutha murthy special to
these temples only. (Just now Gokul confirmed that there was another
Sandhya Nirutha Murthy in kadambur).

Ram & Lavanya were kind enough to identify "Vandhiyathevan" name in
the inscriptions.. Though it was dizzling, everyone enjoyed the
details..

Kudavoil Dr. Balu visited the temple around 1930 hrs and kept us
spell bound for the next 2 hrs ... We have made special request to
him to visit us .. He has refused TO GUIDE several such requests from
High Places earlier.

We, as simple persons LEARNING HISTORY, approach Scholars like Dr.
Kalaikkovan, Dr. Nalini & Dr. Sathiayamurthy ASI, Kudavoil Dr. Balu -
to share their experiences and the Scholars, upon seeing the
opportunity to create TORCH BEARERS TO FUTURE GENERATIONS share some
of their knowledge acquired of their hard and untiring efforts - with
us freely. IN OUR PERSUIT TO FIND TRUTH WE DO CROSS VERIFY. There
may be variations is versions. Such things are related to PHYSICAL
THINGS. It is not Ka .. it is Gha.. Not right leg / left leg.
Bearded means Saint or a Man of Determination to accomplish
something etc.,

BUT THE FEELING GENERATED BY INTERACTING WITH THE SCHOLARS CANNOT BE
PUT IN WORDS. LAST JANUARY WE ENJOYED WITH DR. KKVN / RAJAVELU. THIS
TIME WITH DR.BALU. WHO GUIDED THE GOVERNOR AND THE PRESIDENT!

KUDAVOIL DR. BALU BROUGHT THE KAILASAM IN FRONT OF US IN THAT MISTY
DIZZLING EVENING WHICH COMMENCED ON ROUND MEDAI AND ENDED ON THE SAME
ROUND MEDAI - AFTER WORSHIPPING AADAL VALLAN - ORIGINAL RR VERSION!

Oh! He said there was a Sivapathasekaran Ekkalam and another
Rajarajan Ekkalam to announce & invite devotees to the festivals and
we saw an Ekkalam being blown in front of that Aadal Vallan! WE
WERE INVITED BY "HIM" FOR THAT "PUJA".

That was very Sweet.

I do not know whether it was Sucrane or Sugar or Socrine
