03.09 Saturday - BIG TEMPLE :: SIVA GANGAI
  • Dr. Jaybee has cautioned all of us on the Nett discipline.
Forgive me for putting more details in one go ..

The Saturday evening what we enjoyed in the Big temple was something
    inexplainable ..

IN the Big temple Vimanam outer, above 100 feet level - there is a
panel consists of the versions of Siva - parvathy - Ganapthy - Muruga
in Mount Kailash visible from the Main Road itself - means about 500
feet distance. This is considered Kailasam. Lord Siva is there in
Kailsam. He is also there inside in the form of Peruvudayar; in the
form of Akasalingam in space inside the Vimanam... every where ..
    omnipotent ...

Rain water pouring on this Vimanam is collected in several vessels
above ground level, where specific recess is provided at Kodungai
level. Clear Unadultured Water falls like a sheet, flows to a
particular area through an outlet and reaches the Sivaganga through
    an undergound Tunnel!

Means there is no scope for any human leg to touch this water which
discends from Kailasam - sivan Mudi!

This water reaches Siva Gangai (Tank) nearby which is considered very
    Sacred those days.

duties like singing, dancing, accompanying and place looked like
    Devalogam!

That misty evening, we felt the same way!

It was a wonderful experience ..

We all are enjoying it .. We wish every member gets similar
opportunity to enjoy and feel for themselves ..

  • Dear SPS
    That was a great summary
Correct me if I am wrong is not the Gopuram considered Akasalingam and the Inner space Arubalingam?
