I am a new joinee to this group. I have to say that I am basically a malayalee, having been born and brought up in Kerala. However my parents had their roots in Tamil Nadu. I have read a bit about Tamil culture and literary works. Ponniyin Selvan is one book of which my mother has very fond memories since in her childhood, she used to eagerly await each issue of the story. A month back, we shifted to Perungudi area in Chennai.
