hi; this is with reference with new members sending thier join request multiple times. I too did the same thing when i joined this group. One reason is that the mails i send to the group of which i am a member should also come to me as im one of the members but they dont. Hope that isn't confusing you. Im member of another group and when i send mail to that group the mail also comes to me as im also a member but in PS group it doesn't unless someone replies to it. I think this is the reason. Hope the moderator can solve this.
there seems to be some inherent problems in handling yahoo group mails from gmail. The moderators of yahoo groups would have got a mail regarding that. I got a mail last week and the problems and thier effort to solve it were in the following link.
