  • The Abathuthavigal in Thirupurampiyam.....
Karikalan and Pazhuvettarayar before the last Pandya war...
  • the fight between Pazhuvettarayar's in the first part after the
    Vandiyathevan's escape.
  • a sabatam that comes to my mind - is that of vanadhi - in the fight
scene with poonguzhali - where she swears that she will not alight the
    chola throne
  • yes, RRC uncovers something in the 15th year of UC rule, looks to
the Rashtrakuta clan for support - to stage a coup on UC. possiby
come with a deal - vanadhi lets go of the pattmahishi but retains
the right for her son to be next in line>>>>

Incidentally how do we know for sure that vanadhi is the mother of
RJC. ( not going as per kalki but using inscription/epigraphical
    evidence)
  • a hypothesis- call it loud thinking
olaga madevi was possibly the youngest of the lot and must have been
    kundavi's daughter.
see they take auctions in temples much later.
as if kundavi would allow anybody else to be the chief queen. luck
for vanathi that she died early.
rjc's building of a pallipadai for panchavan madevi must have been to
spite the nexus between olagamadevi and kundav. that coterie must
have been controlling the king .
gkcs idea coyuld also have come out of this to escape the stifling
    atmosphere in thanjai

  • hi sir

    Thanks.. i missed that completely..

on that thread, who is the mother of RRC's other offspings
    aka Kundavai and Madevadigal..

In the same context, i see an inscription referrring to sembiyan
madeviyar as Parantakan - madevadigal below. if so did RRc name his
second daughter after sembiyan madevi. ( madevadigal seems a popular
name among the temple women who were transfered from other temples
    to the big temple)

    No. 11

    (A.R. No. 540 of 1920)

    On the same wall

This records a gift of 96 sheep and a ram for burning a perpetual
lamp in the temple of Tiruvanantesvarattalvar at Viranrayana-
    chaturvedimangalam, by Parantakan-Madevadigal alias Sembiyan-
Madeviyar the daughter of Malavaraiyar and queen of
Gandaradityadevar `who was pleased to go west', i.e., was deceased.
This is evidently an inscription of Arinjaya since Gandaraditya's
demise seems to be implied as a recent event.
