Hi I am pained that needless restoration in a 'fundamentally structure strong temple' which is actually causing harm.
also its ridiculous for people to protest against the bhosles being the nominal head of the temple. are these people willing to hand over meenakshi temple to the telugus and the annamaliyar temple to the kannadigas because they are naik and hoysala temples? muruganandam who was in tanjore during the problem knows a lot more that what he is wiling to write. i request him to clarify on what happened>
1000 yr old World Heritage Monument at Thanjai Rajarajesaram Big temple repair work by Contractors affect the structure and longivity on the Nothern corridor for about 100 meters. Mandap roof inserted on temple outer wall is being broken disregarding the 1000 yr old civil enginnering technology and high-tech cementing process. No lab analysis appears to have been done. Events not recorded. inscriptions affected. Restoring to original position will not be possible because of the damages. Please interfere and conserve from further damages. please Assess and advise proper conservation of this Tamils Pride.

Well not always... i know... I am saying it :) But there are a few...very few but there sure are... agencies in the govt which act quick on response too. Govt agencies on the whole are a disgrace, I agree. But they need not be blamed necessarily. Truth is we are the ones who made them that way. Govt is people at anytime. There are many others involved when a G.O is passed, from the contractor to the end laborer. When an order fails in execution that cannot be just blamed on the govt.
PS: Even Raja Rajan, the greatest emperor who walked on India, was 'one' man, however, his accomplishments were not done alone. It came down to his 'team' they were the key, sister, father, generals, ministers etc and his motivation to 'make' a difference for his people and in turn, they lived and died for RRC. Do we have selfless people / govt who work for the greater good ? if yes , then lets blame just the govt and keep our hands off. It does not matter who, DMK / ADMK / Congress / BJP - they are just a reflection of us... good or bad, lets accept the fact.
