    November 15 1991 Arrival of the second Boeing 747-400
    VT-ESN "Tanjore" in Mumbai. The flight was ferried from Seattle to
    London via New York and then operated as a scheduled service AI-132
    London-Delhi-Mumbai.


    quite a few planes and naval stations havebeen named after kings even
    before that.
    but before the kings theee was a rani series in constellation
    aircraft series.
    rani of jhansi, rhani of bijapur, rani of chitor and rni of madurai(

    1980 February 22 Arrival of the tenth Boeing 747-237B (VT-EGB
    "Mahendra Verman") in Bombay.

    in 1985 the first service with Boeing 747 VT EBN "Rajendra Chola"
    operated on the routing Bombay / Delhi / Frankfurt / Toronto /
    Montreal.

    1988 Second Boeing 747-300 (VT-EPX "Narasimha Varman") arrived in
    Bombay. The aircraft was ferried from Seattle to New York and then
    operated as an extra section flight.

    1990 Boeing 747-200 (VT-EBE "Shahajehan" )
    also a set of planes named after rivers- kishna, narmada etc
    yes there is one calle cauveri too.

    2002 Eighth dry leased A310 aircraft 'Cauvery' (VT-EVW) joins fleet.
