Hi sps
actually many archeologists feel finding stone age or iron age settlements are not that rare.
especially gift siromoney used to give a list of tips to find ancient settlements. he suggests look for hills next to lakes. and then look around for caves or rock over hangs on the hills. using a compass which responds to magnetism he said we could find iron smelting sites pretty fast. the slag ( by product of melting) still remains.
remember he found cavemen settlements next to gst road in guduvancher and a host of them on hills in vandalur kelambakkam area.
we are finding quite a few burial urns these days. surprisngly some were found inside thirukadayur temple itself. venketesh > > > > > > > > > > > > --- In ponniyinselvan@yahoogroups.com, "Sivapathasekaran"
