dear group mates, im new member. im interested in kaveri river civilisation. i have interest in saiva philosophy. im involved with chidambaram studies. kochenganna-cholan belongs to 150AD. he follows karikalan. he was associated with nataraja temple. he is also one of the very few sangam age nayanmars. his association with chidambaram antedates the prevailing concept of pallava origin of chidambaram. the dheekshidhars vouch pallava hiranya varman as the progenitor of this glorious temple.
in sangam texts chidambaram is scarcely mentioned. i do not know why even karaikal ammayar skipped chidambaram and chose thiruvalangadu for siva's dance. any answers? gandhi
