Dear Satheesh, You may be interested that I own a silver pin from my grandmother with a square chip of turquoise stone in the center, from Mexico ca 1930s, of a Swastika. I would never dare wear it here in the USA, given our black years fighting Nazi Germany & their heretical use of that sacred symbol. Kathie
Dear Satish, I'd understood that the Hindu / Jaina Swastika could face either direction, depending on the source of the auspicious blessing from above. [one book said Surya, one way / Chandra, the other] but from whichever, sat flat on the horiz. of one of its legs.
The Nazi logo rested on the 90° point of one leg : it was square in toto, but placed on the angle. Thank God Hitler's mis-use of it 'bombed'! Kathie
