Swami Dayanandha Sawarswathi organised a meet of Odhuvars in Kudavasal on the 18th and 19th of June 2009.
Dr. Kudavoil Balu sir was able to attend for about an hour and presented a power point on Thevaram.
About 200 + Odhuvars attended the meet.
Pollachi Dr. Mahalingam also attended he was praising the efforts of the Swamiji.
About 5 Stalwart Odhuvars were presented Cash awards too.. Others were paid expenses etc ... well organised meet.
Odhuvars assembled and hymned the Sambandar Padhigams for KUDAVASAN Siva temple... which motivated DR. NM to plan similar Padhigam progm by so many Odhuvar's in one place - near Pallachi temple too.
This appears to be interesting pointer.
Am sure our dear Chandra - also of Temple cleaners group - shall take note and work towards organising similar system of hymning Padhigams in Thevarasthalam atleast once a year : similar to PANCHARATNA KEERTHANA SINGING at Thigayyar Samadhi in Thiruvaiyaru !
