i still fail to understand how their paths could have crossed. bengal and gujarat are at extremes of the country.

i think the cholas pretty well knew the militant and anti hindu nature of the sultanate. we have had saurastra people migrating in waves to the south during the invasions.

vijayanagar is perhaps one experiment that stopped the invader. perhaps the most powerful psychological boost to an enslaved people that they could fight back. though it failed finally people knew the possibilities.
