I am posting something in my Ramayanam series on Villupuram. In that i will be discussing on the Chola conquests.

Suggested Chronology and i give the context as under.

Death of Uthamasili in the hands of Pandyas 6. What was Ganga's Role at that time. Prithvipathi 1& 2 were close supporters of Cholas. We saw that Privipathi 2was given aHonarary title as Vira Chola in Parantaga period. WhyRRC waged war on Gangas and included the victory over gangapadi in his mei keerthi? 7. Vira Pandya - one Vira Pandya or two. Was the Chola prince killed by him was Uthamasili, was he the same Vira Pandya whom Aditya Karikala killed?. 8. Did Sundara Chola die before Aditya Karikala? Was RRC a baby at that time? Differences in Tirukkovilur Inscription vs Thiruvalangadu Copper plates. 9. Was RRC a child when Aditya Karikala died and Uthama was a natural choice? or RRC was already an adult and voultarily sacrificed the throne? 10. Who was Ravidasan? Local Drohi and what was the motive? Looks his whole family was living in Chola country and what made him to do the crime? How he gained such a close access to the king.? Why Aditya Karikala went to Veeranam lake with him? 11. Did Aditya Karikala's body was found in the Kadambur Palace or was it floating in Veeanam lake?
